The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport and program management team will make every effort to provide numerous opportunities to engage, participate, comment and learn. Pen has not hit paper on the design. We ask you to get involved and help us as we move toward defining a community vision for the airport for the next 30 years. Stay tuned for information on upcoming engagement opportunities.
The community outreach approach will revolve around these key principles:
- A Focus on Community-Oriented Solutions, developed through engagement and consultation.
- Understanding of Project Facts, starting with a common understanding of technical information to guide civil dialogue about trade-off decisions.
- Collaboration Around the Future of The Airport, development of a structured process for substantive and meaningful dialogue.
- A Better Experience for Everyone, making investments that result in better experiences for airport patrons.
Airport Advisory Groups
The Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners appointed 120 community volunteers to five airport advisory groups with distinct charges and focus areas to facilitate a two-way flow of communication between the community and the County. All airport advisory group meetings are open to the public. Learn more about these groups here.
